Previously on Planet Nibiru
The grand hall of the Council of Twelve fell silent as the holographic projections faded. The resource forecasts could no longer be ignored, Nibiru's supplies of precious ores and gems were dwindling. What had sustained their civilization for millennia would, within generations, be depleted.
Elder Kirin, leader of the Council, had summoned his son Anensi to a private chamber after the meeting. "The future of our world now rests on your shoulders," he had said, placing his weathered hands on Anensi's. "The deep space probes have returned with promising data. Earth, a planet some 20,000 light years distant, shows abundant resources that could sustain Nibiru for centuries to come."
It had been Trici, Anensi's brilliant sister, who made the mission possible. Her discovery of an ancient alien cube near one of the stargates had revealed technological secrets beyond Nibiru's current understanding, including plans for creating stable wormhole portals capable of bridging vast interstellar distances. For months, she worked tirelessly to decipher and implement the technology that would make the journey to Earth feasible.
The Council selected six representatives, two from each of Nibiru's three great tribes. Anensi would lead the expedition, joined by his half-sister Ardin of the Zefer tribe. From the Newah tribe came Logix, whose analytical mind had helped refine portal technology, and Taran, Ardin's half-sister and expert botanist. The Teyel tribe offered Volux, master engineer, and Jalaron, whose knowledge of geology would prove invaluable in identifying Earth's resources.
Their mission: to embark on a year-long expedition to Earth, harvesting resources and planting test crops to evaluate the planet's potential for future colonization or resource extraction. The LC04, a smaller, versatile vessel capable of both space and planetary travel, would carry them through the wormhole portal. If successful, the much larger CX200 freight ship would follow, equipped to transport substantial quantities of Earth's bounty back to Nibiru.
As final preparations were made and farewells exchanged, the six companions stood before the portal chamber, their faces reflecting both determination and uncertainty. Whatever awaited them on the distant blue planet, they carried with them the hopes of their entire civilization.
The time had come to depart for Earth.
